Course Description: The engineering course introduces students to computer-aided design (CAD system), 3D printing, laser engraving, computer numeric control (CNC) machines and robotics. This course is a part of One Brooklyn STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) pipeline. The pipeline curriculum includes all categories of engineering: mechanical, electrical, civil, aeronautical, nautical and structural, so that students can decide which engineering discipline they would like to pursue. This course requires students to identify real-world challenges and then research, design, and test possible solutions, ultimately presenting their unique solutions.
